Everyone loves a good, juicy burger in the summertime. But, by July, the classic burger can start to feel a little…overdone. You would be surprised to know that by adding a few simple ingredients you probably already have in your fridge can really switch up this summertime staple.
But let’s talk about the pesto and what you’ll need to make this topper:
π2 cups fresh basil leaves
π⅓ cup olive oil
π⅓ cup walnuts
π3 cloves garlic
π½ tsp salt
π⅛ tsp black pepper
πJuice from ¼ lemon
π¼ fresh jalapeno
Personally I love enjoying these burgers without a bun but you can also serve them using a portobello mushroom as a bun, lettuce wrap, sweet potato slices, or eggplant! Let’s get creative, what do you love using in place of burger buns?
